Donald Manelli – Chief Executive Officer

Donald Manelli is CEO of Care Harbor. He founded the 501(c)(3) charity in 2010 with the vision that free clinic events can provide sustainable as well as episodic care – creating lasting change in the lives of the people served. Don gained experience organizing and managing large scale events as president of Manelli & Associates, Inc., a Chicago based media company, producing film projects and trade shows in the United States and Europe for Fortune 100 clients including some of the nation’s leading healthcare companies. Prior to that, he was head writer of “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” on the NBC television network, scripting 60 shows including two Emmy award winning episodes. Don has received numerous awards for his work with Care Harbor. He is a graduate of Notre Dame University.

John A. Kotick, JD – Treasurer

John has more than 40 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. In 2012, he founded the Kotick Network, a consulting practice providing strategic planning and organizational development to clients in the nonprofit community. John was a founding team member of SCAN Health Plan and has served in many healthcare leadership positions, including CEO of Family Health Care Centers of Greater Los Angeles, Chief Administrative Officer for Outpatient Clinics of Orthopedic Hospital, and others. He was on the writing team for California’s Long Term Care Reform Act. John is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a J.D. degree from the Gould School of Law and a B.A in political science.

Merrill Rubens – Director of Operations

Merrill Rubens oversees the management and operation of Care Harbor’s free clinics. She began working as a volunteer for Care Harbor in July 2011. Since then she has been involved in the planning and organization of all clinic departments. As Director of Operations, she manages volunteer outreach, registration, and training, as well as day-to-day clinic operations and post-event analysis. Merrill holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from University of California, Berkeley.

Natalie Nevins[/column_grid_2]

Natalie Nevins, DO, MSHPE – Medical Director

Dr. Natalie Nevins has been a Care Harbor volunteer since our first free clinic and serves as the Medical Director for all of our events. She plans and manages all medical components of the event, including family practice and specialty physicians, women’s health, medical lab, dispensary and medical triage. During the course of a typical Care Harbor clinic, she supervises a staff of some 1,500 professional and general volunteers. In addition to maintaining her own practice, Natalie is the CEO of AD+World Health, a nonprofit for humanitarian aid and serves as the Director of Medical Education for the Family Medicine Residency Program and the Program Director of the NMM/OMM Residency Program at Downey Regional Medical Center.

Mitch Galper[/column_grid_2]

Mitch Galper, DDS – Dental Director

Dr. Mitch Galper graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1987. He has operated a private practice in Los Angeles ever since. Mitch serves as Dental Director of the Care Harbor free clinic events planning and managing a clinic operation that may include up to 100 dental chairs, mobile units, denture lab and dental dispensary. Mitch, and has been a Care Harbor volunteer since our first free clinic. Mitch is active in the Los Angeles Dental Society, California Dental Association and other professional groups. His work for charitable organizations includes six years of service as a volunteer and staff dentist at the Aids Project Los Angeles.
